Karoo Saloon R62 Rock Roadhouse Accommodation is clean, comfortable and almost ‘motel like’ in style.

We have five en-suite rooms, two of which sleep 3 – 4 people, another two have twin beds and the fifth en-suite room has a double-bed.

What a badass little stop on the gorgeous Route 62! I loved it!

The bikergang-rock theme fits well into the environment. The pizza I ordered had a thin crust and was absolutely sublime.

The background music included classics by Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix and Pink Floyd. The atmosphere is chilled and relaxed with dogs lounging around.

Why haven’t I ever stopped here before?!?

Friendly staff and owner is always around. Well prepared food with a unique taste. Service was quick and the food very tasty…

I had malva pudding with ice cream – to die for. We also had a free show of a boomslang coming to look for bird eggs in one of the thorn trees.

I like the atmosphere of this place and we will surely be back for more…

They also have live bands playing on Saturday nights with accommodation for those who don’t want to drive home. Excellent !! Well done, Marius !!
